Quick Tip: How to kill/disable dashboard on your mac ((tag: Apple)

Hey guys,
Just a quick tip I found useful. If you are using a mac, you may have noticed that you have dashboard, and while taking up valuable memory resources on your machine, you barely use it for anything. There is a way to delete it (and get it back if you ever decide to):
Fire up terminal, and in the prompt, do the following:
   $ defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
   $ killall Dock
And that should remove it and release some valuable memory for your other daily needs. To bring it back:
   $ defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO
   $ killall Dock
